Information

• The Islamia College Hifth Academy offers a five-year Hifth programme for grades 5 – 9.  This programme runs concurrently with an academic programme which has measured exposure to key learning areas (English, Afrikaans, Maths and Natural Science) of the national curriculum for those respective grades.
• Learners receive contact time with the academic educators once a week. Compulsory homework is given for self-completion throughout the week.
• In line with producing informed and mindful hufaath, a structured Islamic Studies program is conducted once per week.
• Learners progress to the Boys/Girls High School after completing the Hifth programme in Grade 9.
• The fee structure for the Hifth programme is the same as for the High Schools

The Hifth Academy’s acceptance criteria are:

1. Fluency in reading the Quran is essential.
2. Academic aptitude (English, Afrikaans, Mathematics and Natural Science).
3. Recommendation
4. Available space.
