One of our grade 10 learners, Farah Logday, will be heading to Ghana in November on a mission with Operation Smile. She is 1 of 2 South Africans who will be joining Operation Smile’s non-medical student volunteer team. In Ghana, they will be in the Koforidua Region where they will meet the children going into surgery and observe the proceedings. Operation Smile’s mission is to provide free corrective surgery and medical assessments to cleft pallet patients in the area. Farah would like to thank her sponsor for this trip as well as Mr. Mohammed for bringing the organization to Islamia College and granting her the opportunity to go on this exceptional trip. We wish her a safe and fulfilling journey to Ghana and are proud of her for flying the Islamia flag high!
